Kristin Fisher joined CNN on July 20, 2021. She is the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher will cover everything from NASA's newly-created Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin was raised in the field of space and has worked for the past five years covering the Trump and Biden Space policies of the administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. While there she also covered two impeachment proceedings for President Trump and the presdiential 2020 campaign, as well as two attempts by the administration to stop the pandemic of coronavirus. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the vice president and president. The reporter even took an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin was a fixture in the regional news market of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. Kristin was the recipient of one Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband, and their three-year old daughter.
